The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is the Catholic Church in Northeast Kansas: Growing as Disciples of Jesus; Making Disciples for Jesus. We are seeking to hire a Director of Parish Evangelization Services. This position utilizes the resources of the team to increase parish capacity in areas such as Faith Formation, Charity and Mercy (Deaf and Disabilities, multi-lingual, underserved, imprisoned, peripheries), Gospel of Life (Human Dignity & Social Justice), Marriage & Family Life, and Liturgy & Sacraments.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Plan and implement strategies to achieve Archdiocesan evangelization goals and objectives and evaluate effectiveness. • Manage the Parish Evangelization Services Team by fostering collaboration, clear communication, conducting performance evaluations, and providing continuous coaching and constructive feedback. • Develop and manage the budget and financial resources of the Office. • Advise and assist the Archbishop on evangelization policy matters and serve to coordinate communication between USCCB's policy advocates and the Archbishop. • Oversee the education, consultation and support to parishes for developing parish ministries and implementing Archdiocesan policies for ministry programs. • Support priests, parishes and lay leaders for sharing best practices for evangelization. • Serve as a liaison with regional and national groups promoting evangelization activities, including collaborating with the Kansas Catholic Conference.

Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, Social Work or related field required. • Minimum ten (10) years' of experience in pastoral ministry and service to the Church. • Minimum five (5) years' experience in managing staff and volunteer groups. • Intermediate proficiency Microsoft Office Suite. • Bilingual Spanish/English language proficiency preferred. • Practicing Catholic in good standing is required.
