Position Overview Christ the King High School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic full-time Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator committed to academic excellence and student development.
Responsibilities • Teach high school mathematics including Algebra I and Algebra II • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the New York State Mathematics curriculum • Prepare students for NYS Regents examinations in Mathematics • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support academic growth • Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment • Integrate educational technology into instruction • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department and faculty meetings • Coordinate or assist with extracurricular activities as needed • Incorporate and support the school's Catholic values and mission in teaching and interactions
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university in Mathematics, Education, or a related field • Teaching certification or enrollment in a certification program • Familiarity with NYS Mathematics curriculum and Regent's standards • Experience teaching or strong knowledge of Algebra I and Algebra II • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills • Knowledge of current instructional practices and educational technology • Commitment to fostering student growth and academic achievement
Preferred Qualifications • 1+ year of teaching experience • New York State Teaching Certification
