Position Summary Mary Immaculate Catholic School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated elementary grade level (1-4) Teacher. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing classroom environment that supports the development of foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and social-emotional growth while integrating Catholic values throughout the curriculum.
Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in core subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. • Foster a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment. • Promote early literacy and numeracy development. • Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and classroom activities. • Assess student progress through observation, assignments, and assessments. • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and progress. • Collaborate with colleagues and school administration. • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. • Support the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. • Experience working with young children preferred. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. • Practicing Catholic preferred.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with early literacy instruction and phonics-based reading programs. • Knowledge of differentiated instruction for diverse learners. • Knowledge of Singapore Math • Ability to integrate technology appropriately in the classroom.
