The Role: The Accounting Assistant supports the accounting department by performing day-to-day financial tasks and assisting with data entry, reporting and administrative duties to ensure timely and compliant financial operations.
Your Key Responsibilities: • Maintain money logs for cash receipts, prepare checks and related backup for Senior Accountant to deposit at bank.
• Enter bank deposits in QuickBooks.
• Mail accounts payable checks.
• Enter membership renewals in QuickBooks and ensure proper reconciliation with CRM system, HubSpot.
• Generate and mail contribution tax letters.
• Manage advertising invoices and payments.
• Scan accounting documents, rename digital files, and organize them into the correct electronic folders.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For: • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency.
• Maintain professional demeanor and ability to interface with high level executives.
• Customer service orientated, relational.
• Associate Degree in Business or have an aptitude for business.
• Microsoft Office and QuickBooks experience a plus.
• Familiarity with accounting processes and procedures or willingness to learn.
