Position Summary The Youth Ministry Program Coordinator works in close collaboration with the Director of Youth Ministry to integrate middle and high school youth into the life of the parish and the Diocese of Arlington. This role helps carry out the day-to-day implementation of "A Vision of Parish Youth Ministry," fostering a dynamic, Christ-centered environment where teens can encounter Jesus and grow as disciples through engaging events and authentic community.

Key Responsibilities Program Coordination & Logistics • Weekly Gatherings: Plan and lead weekly middle and high school youth gatherings. • Events & Retreats: Coordinate logistics for retreats, socials, service projects, and diocesan programs (e.g., Rally, Bash, WorkCamp), and other major events as applicable. • Sacramental Support: Support coordination of sacramental preparation, including retreats and formation events. • Prayer & Devotions: Organize and lead youth prayer and devotional opportunities such as Adoration, the Rosary, and Scripture study.
Volunteer & Parent Engagement • Volunteer Team: Recruit, train, schedule, and support adult volunteers; ensure they are equipped for their roles. • Safe Environment: Facilitate Safe Environment (VIRTUS) training and ensure full compliance for all volunteers and events. • Parent Communication: Maintain consistent communication with parents and assist with parent formation initiatives.
Administration • Office Management: Manage registrations, rosters, email lists, and general office tasks. • Digital Presence: Help maintain communication channels, including website updates and social media. • Planning: Assist with budget tracking and the development of the annual ministry calendar.
Qualifications • Faith: Active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, with strong knowledge of Catholic teaching and a deep personal prayer life. • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (degree in theology, education, or pastoral ministry preferred). • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Technology: Proficient with email, documents, spreadsheets, and digital communication tools. • Availability: Must be available to work evenings and weekends regularly as ministry requires.
Other Requirements • Completion of a diocesan background check and Safe Environment (VIRTUS) compliance. • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and work at a computer for extended periods.
