MINISTRY:
Felician Services, Inc. (FSI) is a ministry arm of the Felician Sisters, Our Lady of Hope Province, Beaver Falls, PA entrusted with safeguarding the Felician Sisters’ interests and providing governance, resource support and expansion of the 30+ sponsored ministries of the Province. FSI is the Sole Corporate member of all the Felician-Sponsored Ministries. FSI is an integral part of a multi-layered decision-making governance structure.
FSI is the primary vehicle for preserving the various ministries as truly Felician ministries, while embracing and empowering the gifts of lay women and men in the management of the Province’s sponsored ministries.
Felician-Sponsored Ministries include healthcare (acute, long term, assisted living, hospice, etc.), education (early, secondary and higher education, Montessori, etc.), and social services. There are approximately 30 Felician-Sponsored Ministries located in North America (California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Wisconsin, and Ontario, Canada).

POSITION OVERVIEW – VP Charism & Mission Integration
The Vice President, Charism & Mission Integration (VPCMI) is a member of the Felician Services, Inc. (FSI) Charism and Mission Integration Team (CMIT). The VPCMI assists ministry leadership, including boards of directors, administrators, management teams and mission leaders, in identifying, planning, and implementing programs, policies, and practices supporting the integration of the Felician Charism, Mission, Vision, and Values into the culture and operations of the various ministries. The VPCMI also offers ministerial formation programming for all constituents of Felician-sponsored ministries. The vision guiding the VPCMI is to assure the viability and sustainability of the Felician charism and tradition in the sponsored ministries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides oversight, resources, and support for the implementation of the FSI Mission Integration Policy in assigned sponsored ministries.
• Works collaboratively with ministry site leadership regarding mission integration.
• Works collaboratively with FSI Senior Ministry Advisor and FSI Finance Minister for assigned ministries in assessing and assuring ministry effectiveness and sustainability.
• Collaborates to assure the viability and sustainability of the Felician Charism, Mission and Core Values education and formation processes within the Felician-Sponsored ministries.
•Serves as a member of the Charism and Mission Integration Team.
• Identifies Charism and Mission education needs, develops resources to meet those needs, and supports progress of the site Charism and Mission Integration Plan implementation process.
• Conducts on-site visits at Felician-Sponsored ministries to support and assess mission integration.
• Participates in the planning and delivery of the annual Mission Leader Forum.
• Serves in a coaching and mentoring relationship to Mission Leaders and other ministry leadership, as appropriate.
• Participates in other meetings, as requested.
• Participates in professional organizations appropriate to the ministries served and to on-going professional development/certifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A practicing Roman Catholic in faith tradition and in good standing.
Education:
• Master’s degree in a field related to the position (theology, pastoral ministry, religious studies, ethics, JCL, STL, etc.)
Experience:
• Demonstrated minimum of 2 years successful experience working with sponsors, ministry leadership, and management teams.
• Held responsible professional position(s) requiring broad understanding of Catholic ministry, Catholic moral and social teaching, Church structures and sponsorship models.
• Evidence of collaborative, inspirational, influential, and engaging servant leadership style.
• Evidence of authentic and mature personal spirituality.
• Effective in using adult learning models and good facilitation to engage persons in formative experience.
Knowledge:
• Possesses knowledge of, and can demonstrate a personal commitment to the Charism and Mission of the Felician Franciscan Sisters, Catholic Social and Moral Teaching, Canon Law, and the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Felician Services, Inc.
• Reflects working knowledge of Catholic-sponsored ministries, including healthcare, education, and/or social service ministries.
• Understands the relationship of governance and operational roles in a corporate structure and sponsored ministries.
• Has working knowledge of budgets and the budgeting process, strategic planning, and mission planning.
Skills:
• Able to effectively articulate the Mission, Vision, and Core Values to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff at FSI and Felician-Sponsored ministries, including boards of directors, ministry leaders, mission leaders, management teams, and others, as needed.
• Demonstrates proven experience in group dynamics, team building, collaboration skills, group facilitation, and organization development.
• Deals effectively with conflict and finds ways to resolve conflicts that preserve the dignity of those involved while achieving organizational goals.
• Possesses the ability to assess and make recommendations to FSI leadership regarding trends, developments and breakthroughs that potentially impact the ministries and/or need an FSI response.
• Possesses and utilizes effective communication skills (e.g., public speaking, written communications, Internet, and Intranet use).
• Effective in using adult learning models and good facilitation to engage persons in formative experience.
• Holds a working knowledge of and/or comfort with distance communication (e.g., using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, distance learning, etc.).
• Possesses the ability to be a self-starter, capable of follow-through, functions effectively as a team member, and demonstrates evidence of a high degree of sensitivity to persons and issues.
Travel Requirements
• Position requires some travel to ministry sites, as needed (includes periodic overnight travel).
• Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile, and ability to drive and a valid passport.
Work Environment
• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demand
• This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some physical work is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary, restocking the office, lifting and moving boxes on a regular basis,
