Description: All Saints Parish is in search of a Music Director to lead the English-speaking congregations in the worship of God in the Sacred Liturgy of the Catholic Church.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The Director of Music will arrange and perform liturgical music for the following services: • Weekend Masses: Saturday at 4 pm and Sunday at 8 am and 10 am • Holy Days of Obligation • Christmas Liturgies • Holy Week Liturgies • First Eucharist and Confirmation Liturgies • Funeral Masses • Wedding Masses
• Ability to play the Pipe Organ is required. Our Parish has a beautiful, 100 year old Casavant Pipe Organ which is the principal instrument for English-speaking liturgies. A description of our fine III/34 rank Casavant Organ where you may click on Stoplist, Images, and Additional Information, can be found at: https://pipeorgandatabase.org/instruments/47384 • Ability to Sing and Play is required. • Ability to play additional instruments (piano, guitar) is desirable • Use the CREDO hymnal as primary music resource • Recruit, build, and conduct a parish Choir for the Sunday 10am Mass. Preside over weekly choir rehearsals. • Must be willing to coordinate with our Spanish liturgy musicians for bi-lingual services during Holy Week and other times throughout the year (English/Spanish) • Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with others • Train, prepare, and schedule other singers, organists, and/or other members of the Music Ministry • Provide music for other spiritual events in the life of the parish as needed • Order liturgical supplies for Music Ministry in accordance with the annual budget • Reports and consults directly with the Pastor
Other Qualifications • Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church • Must be able to sign Catholic Morality clause for personal conduct in ministry • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs • Must be physically capable of ascending/descending the church Choir Loft.
