Chesterton Academy of Vero Beach invites applications for a full-time teacher position at our classical high school, grounded in the Catholic tradition. Located in the beautiful town of Vero Beach, Florida, our school integrates rigorous academics with the joy and depth of the Catholic faith. We are looking for a ninth-grade humanities teacher who can also teach either a Latin class or a tenth-grade philosophy class (Socrates/Plato/Aristotle).

Responsibilities:
-Teach ninth-grade humanities (Literature, History, Theology, Philosophy) focusing on the Ancient World and either teach a Latin class or tenth-grade Philosophy. The curriculum is already provided.

-Participate actively in the daily academic and spiritual life of the school, including attending daily Mass with the headmaster, fellow teachers, and students. Additionally, be an active part of the Chesterton House system.

-Consider engaging students in extracurricular activities

-Foster a community that reflects our Catholic values.

Requirements:
-Must be a practicing Catholic, willing to make a public Profession of Faith, and take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium.

-Have at least one of the following:
--Hold a bachelor's degree or higher OR
--Have a minimum of three years teaching experience in public or private schools, OR
--Possess special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies you to instruct in subjects taught.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-A passion for teaching and a willingness to teach in a classical manner.

-A strong dedication to building a culture of life through education.
