The Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration are seeking a Part Time Maintenance Technician to serve at our Convent, which is home to about 60 sisters.
The ideal candidate is respectable, responsible, reliable, and exhibits mechanical aptitude. Because he or she will be working alone, self-motivation is important.
Requirements: • Good physical condition - The Convent has multi-story buildings that cover a significant amount of square footage and the property has many acres • A valid driver's license • Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members
Daily Activities: • Building Rounds, including verifications, documentation of temperatures pressures, visual inspections, and adjustments • Preventative Maintenance activities • Turning on / off heating and cooling systems • Property Rounds - access control and visual inspections • Activities in the Maintenance Shop and Boiler House • Trash and Laundry Rounds • Snow removal of some areas in the winter • Any other activities which are assigned
The hours are 3-11:30PM and this employee will generally work 4 days every two week pay period, including every other weekend. Some holidays are required.
