ABOUT THE POSITION The Donor Relations Manager ensures the smooth implementation of the Institute's fundraising program, serving as the operational backbone of the development office. This position manages donor acknowledgments and pledge tracking, organizes and maintains the donor database for moves management, supports donor events, and coordinates donor engagement activities in partnership with the Executive Director and Major Gift Officer.
Position reports directly to the Executive Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage donor acknowledgment process, ensuring timely and meaningful thank-you letters and personal touches. • Track and manage donor pledges, reminders, and follow-up. • Utilize and organize Bloomerang to maintain a moves management system that tracks donor, prospect, and lead progression. • Ensure no donor falls through the cracks by keeping cultivation steps current and well-documented. • Schedule donor meetings and coordinate logistics. • Research donor prospects and prepare briefings. • Assist with drafting correspondence and preparing donor-facing materials. • Assist with all Benedict XVI Institute donor events, including logistics, attendee research, and follow-up. • Identify and thank donors who make events possible through sponsorship or underwriting. • Ensure events are leveraged effectively to deepen donor engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with a commitment to the Church's mission. • 1-3 years of nonprofit development, advancement services, or administrative experience. • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through. • Familiarity with donor databases (Bloomerang preferred), plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with discretion and professionalism. • Travel: Regular travel required for donor meetings, events, and national initiatives • Eligibility: Candidates must be U.S. citizens and authorized to work in the United States
