Faith Formation (Children & Families): • Administer and oversee the religious education program for grades K-8, including Vacation Bible School. • Coordinate preparation and programming for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. • Collaborate with catechists to implement the diocesan Safe Environment curriculum. • Support families as the primary educators of the faith. Youth Ministry: • Collaborate with youth ministry volunteers and parish staff to develop dynamic and relational youth ministry offerings. • Foster opportunities for service, spiritual growth, and community-building. • Assist in facilitating retreats, youth rallies, and archdiocesan events. Adult Faith Formation: • Plan and promote a variety of adult formation opportunities (Bible studies, small faith-sharing groups, speaker series, RCIA, etc.). • Serve as liaison to parish adult formation ministries, including Walking with Purpose, Share the Word, and other small groups. • Develop intergenerational faith opportunities that engage the entire parish. Sacramental Preparation & RCIA: • Coordinate all aspects of sacramental preparation for children and youth. • Address inquiries from individuals seeking to join the Catholic Church through RCIA and coordinate the rites involved. • Assist families and individuals in understanding and preparing for the sacraments.
Program Administration: • Recruit, train, and support volunteer catechists and ministry leaders. • Ensure adherence to all Archdiocesan Safe Environment guidelines. • Maintain program records, coordinate scheduling, and manage curriculum planning. • Collaborate with the pastor and parish staff to ensure a unified vision of ministry. • Promote both parish and Archdiocesan events and initiatives.
Qualifications: • Practicing Catholic in good standing, with a deep love for the Church and her teachings. • Experience in catechesis, youth ministry, or parish formation (minimum 3 years preferred). • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Able to manage multiple programs and work collaboratively across parish ministries. • Proficient in or able to learn parish software and technology tools.
Additional Requirements: • Must be flexible, dependable, and emotionally mature. • Regular presence in the parish office and at parish events is expected. • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends. • Other duties as assigned.
