~Manage and support an organized and professional classroom that is conducive to learning and the development of English Language Arts skills. ~Create and adapt assignments and lesson plans to be aligned with NYS Standards. ~Teach content and skills in English Language Arts including: literature, composition, reading and writing to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students ~Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned. ~Use technology tools for instruction, planning, and communication and ensure student engagement ~Evaluate academic achievement through detailed data analysis of student performance ~Provide ongoing and timely feedback to students on their progress towards meeting expectations and achieving goals ~Create and manage a responsive learning environment that enables students to feel safe, to be creative, and to develop to their full potential.
Qualifications
Ability to lead a classroom where excellence is expected and cultivated Strong communication, organization, and on-the-fly problem solving skills Bachelor's degree or higher required Teaching experience preferred Have or be pursuing New York State teacher certification Proficiency in technological tools, including Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive Be committed to the mission of Catholic Education
