Key Responsibilities: • Develop functional wireframes and high-fidelity mockups that incorporate branding and a youth-oriented style. • Build a fully responsive, accessible website using modern standards (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks or WordPress). • Integrate dynamic features: subscription forms, Q&A portal, digital archive, gallery, and sponsor requests. • Integrate third-party software from Salesforce, Account Engagement, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Fundraise Up, Meta Pixels, • Improve performance and SEO: metadata, responsive images, site speed, schema markup. • Configure CMS for easy updates: journal issues, blog posts, events, prayer cards, testimonials. • Provide documentation, user training, and handover for non-technical staff. • Offer ongoing maintenance, security patches, and analytics/reporting.
Required Qualifications: • 3+ years in web design & development (illustrate with portfolio). • Responsive design proficiency; experience with youth/ministry or nonprofit websites a plus. • Solid CMS integration (WordPress preferred). • SEO and performance optimization skills. • Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG 2.1). • Strong communication, ability to translate ministry needs into functional design.
Preferred: • Experience with Catholic or faith-based organizations. • Basic graphic design skills (Adobe XD, Figma). • Familiarity with interactive youth engagement tools or multimedia integration.
Contract Terms & Compensation: • Project-based or retainer; flexibility for remote work. • Compensation based on scope and experience. • Possible ongoing support contract after initial redesign.
