Seeking a Catholic individual to provide daily instruction to 6th-8th grade students. Teacher will focus on developing Catholic identity and academic excellence in every child for whom the teacher is responsible. Teacher will plan, guide, and evaluate the learning process of the students in the 6th-8th grade classes and will be responsible for the following academic subject areas: English/Language Arts (to include Writing, Listening, Speaking, Vocabulary, and Grammar) and Religion.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and deliver effective, faith-integrated lessons in English Language Arts for students in grades 6-8. • Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where all students are encouraged to excel. • Design assessments, assignments, and activities to monitor and support student progress. • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and technologies to address diverse learning styles and needs. • Foster the spiritual growth of students by incorporating Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum. • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff. • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events. • Uphold the mission and values of the Catholic faith in daily interactions and instruction.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (required). • Valid Tennessee Teaching License • Strong Catholic identity and commitment to living out the values of the Catholic faith in the classroom. • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to maintain a positive learning environment. • Ability to integrate faith and academics effectively. • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. • A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential, both academically and spiritually.
Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree in Education or English. • Experience with differentiated instruction and individualized learning plans. • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom, including educational software and interactive learning tools.
