The Green County Catholic Parishes (St. Francis, Belleville and St. Clare, Monroe) are looking for a part-time administrative assistant to serve our local Catholic community 16-20 hours per week, beginning immediately. Hours are flexible (daytime). The purpose of this position is to support the needs of staff and volunteers so that we, as a team, can most effectively fulfill our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Secondly, this position is essential in order to communicate our mission well to our parishioners. As these parish communities work towards an eventual merger, this staff person will serve the whole Catholic community in Green County. The position is temporary (at least through 2023) with a likelihood of becoming permanent, depending on the needs of the Parish through the merger process.
Tasks could include reception, communications (bulletin, website, social media), data systems, managing the parish calendar, working with Sacramental records, etc. Ideal candidates would be effective communicators, detail-oriented, have facility with Google platform and Publisher, be flexible, and prefer working in a team environment.
