    Director of Camp Tekakwitha

    The Diocese of Green Bay currently has a full-time opening for Director of Camp Tekakwitha.

    This full-time position serves as the Director of Camp Tekakwitha in beautiful Shawano County under the guidance of the Director of Families Mission Team.

    The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of the ministry of Camp Tekakwitha, implementation of the vision and mission set forth by the Diocese of Green Bay specifically in regard to Camp Tekakwitha, and long-term strategic planning. This position involves collaborating with several departments at the Diocese of Green Bay, including Human Resources, IT, Facilities and Properties, and Finance and Accounting, among others, to ensure compliance with and alignment of best practices. This position is responsible for ensuring Camp Tekakwitha remains in compliance with the American Camp Association and the WI Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection. A strong personal Catholic faith and commitment to the mission of the Diocese of Green Bay and the ministry of Camp Tekakwitha is required.

    We would like to see someone with a bachelor's degree, three years of leadership experience in an administrative setting, preferably with a religious setting. Three years' experience in youth development, faith formation, or within a summer camp program. Good understanding of the American Camp Association (ACA) requirements for operating a summer camp, Must be an active or practicing Catholic with a strong foundation of theology, catechesis and/or Catholic Social Teaching. A minimum of two years' experience in supervising staff. Must hold a valid Hunters' Safety or Boaters' Safety Certification (or be willing to obtain upon employment). A have a valid driver's license.
