Coordinator of Liturgy and Music, Saint Frances Cabrini Parish
Saint Frances Cabrini Parish in West Bend, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time (40 hours a week) Coordinator of Liturgy and Music.
This Coordinator of Liturgy and Music works with the pastor to support and foster parish worship that is prayerful, beautiful, and engaging in accord with the Church's liturgical tradition. Primary duties include the selection and preparation of music for weekend and Holy Day Masses, providing musical support and coordination for funerals and weddings, and helping to support a vibrant liturgical culture in the parish as a whole. These same duties also include actively working to support and recruit musicians, cantors, and choir members for worship, along with other key liturgical support ministries. We are seeking to grow our group of cantors and choirs, and to elevate our level of engagement with the music and prayers of the Mass. We are expanding this position to full-time from its current part-time status.
There is office administrative support available for this position. There is currently a group of experienced volunteer liturgical pianists and cantors who are eager to work under the coordinator in this new position.
Applicant should have some familiarity with instrumentally accompanying cantors and singers in a church worship setting. Preferably the applicant should be able to sing and lead others in song. Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills required. Applicant must be a Catholic in full communion with the Church.
Position is full time 40 hours a week.
Salary is commensurate with experience; full benefits including health insurance and pension are available.
