Position: Catholic Social Teaching Grant Writer
Reports to: Director of Advancement
Department/Section: Advancement / Development
Work Environment: Remote
The Grant Writer plays an essential role on the Catholic Social Teaching and Hispanic Education team as the lead for researching, networking, developing and maintaining grant proposals, providing administrative support and meeting other requirements for both restricted and unrestricted grants from donors, foundations, dioceses, and any other funding sources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These duties include, but are not limited, to:
Researching, networking, and identifying funding leads.
Ensuring that all administrative grant requirements are fulfilled, both in the submission of grant proposals and in fulfilling grant award conditions.
Assisting in the development and compilation of reports, tracking
reports, and other administrative items necessary to fulfill grant requirements.
Serving as a technical writer for grants and letters of interest for support.
Maintaining detailed records of all documents and procedures, and
assisting with the development of new strategies to expand and diversify grant funding sources.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in communications, finance, business management, or related field.
Two (2) to four (4) years' experience in grants administration, project management support, grant writing, or other related experience.
Relationship and network building skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Professional, self-motivated, strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and results driven.
Excellent time management with an ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft office.

Church structures and practices.
Proficient in Spanish (oral and written).
Strong understanding of Hispanic culture.
