    Job description
    Our Lady of the Lake Parish is seeking a new Facilities Supervisor to maintain our church, parish offices, rectory, and school buildings and grounds in top condition to ensure full and productive use of facilities. To accomplish these tasks the Facilities Supervisor must work closely with the Custodian and other staff.

    Our Lady of the Lake has been a fixture in the northeast Seattle community for over 90 years. With over 500 families in the parish and 250+ students in the school. We are looking for a collaborative member of our staff.

    Qualifications
    1. High School diploma or equivalent.
    2. Experience in building and grounds operations.
    3. Familiarity with computers and software relating to maintenance and inventory.
    4. Ability to read chemical labels.
    5. Ability to read material safety data sheets (MSDS).
    6. Ability to initiate and complete emailed maintenance request forms.
    7. Have a valid driver license, be able to drive, and qualify under the diocesan insurance carrier.
    8. Exhibits a Christ-like behavior in all interactions with people and aligns with Our Lady of the Lake's culture to serve others.
    9. Background Check and compliance with our Safe Environment Program required.

    Essential Functions and General Responsibilities:
    1. Maintain all parish properties including church, chapel, parish offices, rectory, and school buildings and grounds in top condition to ensure full and productive use of parish facilities.
    2. Prepare and execute cleaning schedule and ongoing maintenance.
    3. Communicate effectively with all members of the parish and school community.
    4. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
    5. Appropriately operate all equipment and machinery, as necessary
    6. Assist in promoting the safety, health, and comfort of students and employees in parish buildings and grounds.
    7. Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects. Observe local, state, OSHA regulations and diocesan policies at all times.
    8. Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation in connection with electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, exterior and interior of buildings, school grounds and church grounds.
    9. Move equipment and materials within and between parish buildings.
    10 Other duties as assigned by pastor, principal and/or PAA.

    Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
    1. Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
    2. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials up to 50 lbs.
    3. Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching.
    4. Requires climbing and balancing. Must be able to work in high places
    5. Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
    6. Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
    7. Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.
    8. Uses and wears safety and/or protective equipment, as appropriate
    9. Follow proper safety protocols when using ladders, mechanical lifts etc.
