The purpose of this position is to enable the efficient and effective administration of the parish human, financial, technology and capital resources.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
a. Collaborates with the Pastor and other staff in implementing the mission of the parish. This is accomplished by participation in the comprehensive planning, implementation and evaluation of the parish goals, and objectives, with specific focus on prudent stewardship of the parish's human, financial and capital resources. Also collaborates in Archdiocesan/regional/deanery planning and program efforts.
b. Manages the financial resource system of the parish and school including the following:
i. Assuring preparation of comprehensive annual parish budget including revenue and expense projections.
ii. Works in conjunction with Pastor and consultation with Finance Council to review and monitor said budget.
iii. Monitors monthly income and expenditures, authorizing payment of all bills.
iv. Develops and assures accurate and confidential financial record keeping systems.
v. Oversees tabulations and deposit of all parish income in conjunction with he accountant and payroll manager.
vi. Prepares monthly financial reports for the Pastor and Finance Council.
c. Develops processes to ensure efficiency and controls including:
i. Working with staff to implement effective processes for management of internal processes.
d. Oversees the development and implementation of personnel policies for the parish and assures compliance in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Seattle and Washington State Law:
i. Collaborates with the Pastor to assure parish personal policies and guidelines that are just, legal, and canonically appropriate.
ii. Assures staff has opportunities for input into decisions being made about personnel policies as appropriate.
iii. Develops accurate and comprehensive employee files. iv. Maintains confidential personnel records for staff.
v. Monitor and document all personnel sick/holidays/personal days/vacation and provide information to staff as needed.
vi. Develop policies specific to St. Anthony staff within the model of the Archdiocesan Parish Personnel Policies & Procedures to ensure efficiency and harmony among staff.
e. Assures collaboration and direction of parish staff accomplished by:
i. Recruiting, hiring, motivating, supporting and evaluation.
ii. Work with administrative staff to develop work plans, goals, and objectives and by monitoring and evaluating the accomplishment of annual goals and objectives.
f. Works with facility manager to ensure the management of all parish facilities and grounds accomplished by:
i. Budgeting for, and authorizing routine maintenance in collaboration with Pastor.
ii. Collaborates with Facilities Manager to establish and ensure plant safety and security.
iii. Facilitating necessary repairs and maintenance.
iv. Orchestrates the development of a yearly parish ministry/events calendar.
g. Assures the parish is following Archdiocesan and governmental regulations which is accomplished by:
i. Serves as liaison from the parish to the Archdiocesan Business, Finance, Accounting, Personnel, and Insurance offices.
ii. Prepares & submits Parish Annual Report.
iii. Interfaces with Government agencies regarding local, state and/or federal regulations that affect the parish.
iv. Serves as a contact person for various vendors, and other parish groups.
h. Assures the development of communication and information systems for the Parish in conjunction with IT/Social Media Manager which is accomplished by:
i. Evaluates office equipment and technology and assures the upgrade of or installation of new equipment or systems.
ii. Directs the preparation and upkeep of asset inventory. iii. Overseeing the management of parish financial records.
i. Develops financial accountability systems to ensure the accurate and efficient methods of collecting, accounting and depositing revenue from all major fundraising campaigns including Sacrificial Giving, Annual Catholic Appeal, and all other campaigns.
j. Supervises all parish administrative, development, stewardship and maintenance staff members providing guidance, training, development, and corrective action and dealing with/resolving other employment issues. Selects and trains new employees. Initiates or reviews all terminations in conjunction with the pastor.
k. Manages the Human Resources function and its sub-functions including salary administration, recruiting, employee relations, training, and communication.
l. Serves as staff resource person for various consultative groups including Pastoral Council, Finance Council, Stewardship Commission, Facility and Safety Committee and Building Committee. Provides annual training to those serving on councils and commissions.
m. Serves as staff to Finance Council and assists in the following areas:
i. Prepares the agenda.
ii. Provides financial information to the Council.
iii. Implements recommendations made by the Council and approved by the Pastor.
n. Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for the position by:
i. Attending conferences, workshops, and Continuing Education Classes.
ii. Participation in local, regional, and Archdiocesan professional organizations.
iii. Personal development of skills through continued enrichment
o. Provides assistance to the School Principal and School Commission in implementing financial policies of the parish as they relate to the parish school and in the development and implementation of the annual budget with assistance of the accountant:
i. Oversees the implementation of the in-parish tuition rate application process for parish school families.
ii. Works in conjunction with the Principal to complete the 3 year plan of usage of the usable Endowment withdrawals.
III. Secondary Functions
a. Provides feedback and input on parish personnel matters for the Pastor.
b. Participates in staff meetings and retreats.
c. Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary: $54,000-$75,000 per year DOE
