Bookkeeper-St. Anthony Parish and School (Renton)
St. Anthony Parish, located in Renton, WA is a culturally diverse, vibrant parish seeking a Bookkeeper who is responsible for providing bookkeeping support for the parish and school. 30-40 hours per week. Full Benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, life, vacation, holiday, pension, 403b).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains financial bookkeeping system for the parish and school to include accounts payable, receivables and the balance sheet accounts under the direction of the Business Manager and/or Pastor.
Maintains parish bank accounts. Manages cash balances by processing check requests, paying invoices, and entering deposits and withdrawals whether received by cash, check, or electronically.
Verifies authorization for expenditures in all program and operating accounts by assuring all requests for checks are signed off by responsible party, have the necessary documentation and attributed to the proper account.
Coordinates income received during the week for the counters and for entry into Parish Data System (PDS).
Performs end-of-month journal entries and reconciliation of the bank statement.
Provides financial statements to Pastor, Parish Business Manager and School Business Manager.
Provides bookkeeping services and advice for the Business Manager, Pastor, and others who coordinate various fund raising efforts for the parish and school.
Responsible for submitting biweekly payroll.
Responsible for producing annual 1099's.
Collaborates with the Business Manager, Pastor, and other staff to help implement the mission of the parish. Participates in comprehensive planning, implementation and evaluation of parish goals and objectives as they relate to Stewardship of the parish's financial resources and our wider work.
Together with the Business Manager, assures compliance with state and federal laws/regulations.
Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for the bookkeeping profession. This may be accomplished by participating in Archdiocesan sponsored training, attendance at workshops and classes, reading appropriate materials and/or membership in local professional organizations.
Initial training and accounting support provided by the parish.
Other duties as assigned by the pastor or Business Manager.

- Excellent communication and customers services skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office products and Quickbooks.
- 3 years full charge bookkeeping experience.
