Producer (Washington DC)

PRODUCER
Full-time, onsite in Washington, D.C. Not remote-eligible.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As the Producer, you will work with the News Nightly editorial team to produce content and fulfill other responsibilities with a strict deadline to produce a quality daily newscast.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Produce discussion segments on national/international pro-life news from a Catholic perspective, including writing news stories.
• Identify and book guests to explain key life issues; extensively network with pro-life influencers to stay up to date on pro-life news and learn of potential guests.
• Communicate with the PLW Host about guests, including extensive research and potential discussion questions.
• Identify original content stories that would make good discussion or news segments.
• Work with program hosts & outside organizations in the production & development of various EWTN programs & specials.

ABOUT YOU:
You have 3-5 years prior experience working in TV broadcast production/programming, print news, communications.
You possess excellent broadcast writing & communication skills, including social media.
You have a proven understanding of the Catholic faith and how it relates to the programming goals of the Network.
You exhibit solid news judgement.
You are fluent on wide variety of social media platforms.
You are able to collaborate easily within a team, and work well independently.
You are able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/nights when required.
You hold a bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
