Catholic Climate Covenant seeks a part-time (5-10 hours/week) website developer and manager for its
new Catholic Climate Action Projects (CathCAP) program. CathCAP is a carbon offset program for the
Catholic community encouraging individuals and groups to reduce their carbon emissions and pay into a
fund for carbon emissions from travel (automobiles and airplanes). Groups can set up accounts and
receive 95% of yearly donated funds back to use for their emissions-reducing projects.
The CathCAP website developer will oversee the built-from-scratch CathCAP website and work directly
with the CathCAP coordinator to ensure the website functions properly and to perform edits as needed.
Responsibilities
CathCAP Website Developer will:
• Bring coding experience to further develop and then manage the website through
Google Cloud Server (website host and the Application Programming Interface)
• Understand the goals and objectives of the CathCAP program and translate that into
clear language and functionality on the CathCAP website
• Be able to work flexible hours up to 10 hours/week and be able to respond to website
needs within 24 hours during business days and available for emergencies on weekends
(rare).
• Join in monthly CathCAP team calls
• Assist with the design of CathCAP group pages
• Ensure functionality between payment collection and CRM software is maintained
within the CathCAP website
• Provide regular reports on website usage
Qualifications and Experience
• Undergraduate degree in computer programming
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Comfort in working in a religious, nonprofit setting
• Understanding of Google Cloud Server, Github, MongoDB
• Proficient in React, nodeJS, HTML, CSS, JS

• This is a contract position. Hourly wage is dependent on experience.
