St. Veronica Catholic School is seeking for a School Nurse. The primary function is to provide clinic assistance to the school community during school hours for the safety and well-being of the students. The right candidate should be a practicing Catholic with a joyful, hardworking personality that is able to handle the daily rigors of a school-day.
An RN or LPN would be ideal, but not required; Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) and Medical Assistants (MA) are welcome to apply.
Areas of responsibility: Provide first aid care and health assessment; Communicate with teachers and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of students; Administer medications and monitor delegated medication administration; Educate and train staff on asthma, life-threatening allergies, diabetes, and blood-borne pathogens. Tasks include filing both diocesan and state reports; overlooking food allergies for school events; managing Lost & Found, and a variety of other administrative tasks. Respects the confidentiality of information this position becomes privy to when dealing with students.
