The Teen Center Manager at Contigo Youth Club, under the direction of the Club Directors, plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates programs and activities for the youth to practice and develop academic, athletic, artistic, and social skills. The Teen Center Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the teen center and the supervision and well-being of the youth while they are at the Club.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Youth to Thrive
- Understand and implement all Contigo policies and procedures including Contigo expectations, procedures, plans, Parent/Guardian handbook, etc.
- Engage with Club members at all times to ensure members are provided with the best experience possible; promote the safety of members and quality in programs at all times. Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of Club programs by:
- Planning, organizing and implementing a range of programs and activities for Club members
- Initiating new programs with the approval of the Club Directors.
- Using creativity and spontaneity to encourage program participation
- Ensure quality by monitoring and evaluating program achievement against target goals, recommending modifications that respond to member needs and interests and participating in weekly staff meetings.
Health & Safety
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in program areas.
- Manage facilities and ensure a productive work environment, maintaining an inventory of all program equipment and supplies in good order. Participate in cleaning the Club facilities each day.
- Report any staff or child accidents/incidents or suspected child abuse injury to a Director as soon as possible. Director will fill out a report, and follow all emergency procedures.
- Additional Responsibilities and Expectations
- Managing the opening and closing of the Teen Center.
- Working with administrative staff to ensure accurate records are maintained (registration, attendance, finances, etc.)
- Other responsibilities as designated by the Directors
- May participate in special programs and/or events.
Qualifications and Skills
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) Preferred
- Excellent leadership qualities

- Organizational skills
- High School diploma required with some college experience or a combination of experience.
- Experience working directly with school aged youth and knowledge of youth development is preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.
- Ability to organize and supervise youth and handle difficult behaviors.
- Ability to work with a team of staff and hold fellow staff accountable.
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
- Knowledge of the Club's mission, programs, and resources.
