Religious Education Coordinator

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Harrisonburg VA is seeking a Catholic in good standing with a passion for the Faith. The candidate for the full-time position (35 plus hour/week) of Religious Education Coordinator is needed to revitalize our faith formation program that instills the rich truths of Catholic Doctrine in the parish. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills to support our existing programs. The Religious Education Coordinator will also recruit volunteer catechists, work with volunteer leaders for RCIA, Youth Ministry and Adult Faith Formation, monitoring of the diocesan mandated Virtus training program and background checks for all volunteers, as well as working with the Pastor, office staff, volunteers and parishioners daily. Previous parish ministry and classroom experience and conversational Spanish are important. Salary commensurate with experience.
