Cardinal Newman Academy, a Catholic high school located in Richmond, VA, is looking for a new head of school for the 2023-24 school year. The students and families of Cardinal Newman are noted for their commitment to the school's mission - educating young people who are called to greatness of mind, heart, and character.

Faculty are members of a collegial community dedicated to professional excellence. Cardinal Newman Academy employs a classical liberal arts curriculum designed to help students achieve academic excellence, grow in virtue, and become good citizens. Position

The Head of School will ensure that our school community remains faithful to the joyfully Catholic charism of the school. Duties include overseeing faculty and staff, and developing our curriculum, athletic programs, and extracurricular activities. The Head of School will oversee recruitment and development efforts. With the board, the Head of School will develop and implement a financial plan for our growing school.

The head of school should be a practicing Catholic whose life models the Academy's vision and who is willing to embrace the joyfully Catholic character of the school community. We are looking for an inspirational leader who can articulate and implement the mission of our Academy. The Head of School should be dedicated to building our institution and be a strong advocate of the Academy's unique mission in the greater community.

While experienced teachers and school administrators are preferred, we are open to applicants from other mission-driven institutions. An advanced degree is preferred.
