Our Lady of Hope Catholic School in Potomac Falls, Virginia, a vibrant and successful school with approximately 220 students in grades K-8, is seeking a Director of Fundraising. Initially, the position will be part time (15 to 20 hours per week) with the possibility for full-time in the future. Working with our pastor and principal, the Director will identify potential sources of monetary assets and confidently pursue those leads. He/she will think globally about raising money independently from established school and parish fundraising efforts. He/she will attain major gifts along with other generous donations, working with benefactors who support Catholic education. The Director will be responsible for formulating and executing a comprehensive fundraising plan, and can expect to draw on the support of our community. He/she would be joining a dedicated, mission-driven team of faculty, staff, parishioners, and school families.
Qualifications and Skills: Must have a background in marketing, communications, public relations, fundraising, or institutional advancement. Must possess excellent communication skills, in writing, on phone and in person. Must have effective organizational and interpersonal skills. Must possess strong computer skills. Must demonstrate a love for the Catholic faith.
