SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the providing clinical supervision, training and support to staff and interns providing counseling services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Provides clinical oversight to counseling and case management staff and interns as assigned
Promotes staff professional growth through established trainings requirements. Provides Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervision (LCSW), including signing documentation for pre-licensed clinicians/staff.
Coordinates and presents staff in-house trainings, including all on-boarding clinical training for new staff
Participates in the development of existing and new clinical programs
Responsible for assuring that clinical records are in compliance with licensing standards, laws, certifications and accrediting bodies, as well as agency policies and that all case documentation is prepared and presented for inclusion in records on a timely basis.
Communicate performance expectations regarding clinical quality, evidence-based treatment, timely and professional documentation, HIPAA compliance, etc
Conducts individual and group counseling sessions as back- up staff when needed
Participate in client crisis management and act as back-up for after hour clinical crisis
Participates in recruitment and hiring of clinical staff
Identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness
Provide input to managers and Directors in evaluation of staff
Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.
Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.
Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master's Degree in Social Work with 5 years of experience. One year of supervisory experience is also required. LCSW or LPC in the state of Virginia required.
