Hours: 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM during a regular school day.

Job Description
The Basilica School of Saint Mary, a Catholic Pre-K through eight Parish School in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking a seventh and eighth grade science teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The science teacher will work closely with the Middle School team in a highly collaborative manner committed to offering excellence in student intellectual, spiritual, and character formation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in science or science education, with an ability to engage students in scientific inquiry through an activity-based approach. Qualified candidates will fully embrace the mission of our Catholic school, which recognizes the infinite value of each student, seeks to develop the gifts of all, and nurtures them to be saints, stewards, and scholars, always with an eye to their eternal destiny. Ideal candidates will hold a Master's degree in science education or science, will hold or be willing to work towards certification, and have strong instructional experiences.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in science, science education, or a relevant field, instructional experience
Physical Demands
Stairs, lift 20 lbs, travel between classrooms and through the campus
