    The Institute of Catholic Culture seeks qualified candidate applications for the position of Business Manager. This is a full-time, salaried position based at our main ICC office in Front Royal, Virginia, and offers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.

    We seek a well-organized, self-motivated, dynamic, and disciplined individual who can manage and direct the business needs of the Institute. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Business Manager is responsible for the supervision and management of fundraising operations, financial and accounting practices, human resources functions, office operational functions, administrative functions, and the related processes and systems. He/she will directly supervise the staff members who work in these areas (currently this is two full-time employees). Ideal applicants will possess excellent communication skills, think critically and creatively with attention to detail, and have a high standard of integrity.

    The qualified applicant will be a practicing Catholic living in accord with the teachings of the Catholic Church. We seek an individual who shares the vision and passion of the Institute of Catholic Culture for the restoration of authentic Catholic adult education.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the development operations, from solicitation to the gift acknowledgment process, including overseeing two major annual fundraising drives
    • Develop, implement, review, and revise policies and procedures related to member and donor services and office finance and accounting practices
    • Develop, implement, and maintain an employee handbook in consultation with the Executive Director, Associate Director, and the Board of Directors
    • Work with the Executive Director to determine staffing needs and manage all aspects of recruiting, hiring, and ongoing professional development
    • Manage personnel in conjunction with the Executive Director, meet regularly with each member of the team to facilitate collaboration, oversee the assignment of projects and tasks, and approve staff paid time off
    • Ensure that appropriate insurance plans are selected or renewed during periods of open enrollment and update individual employee insurance plans as needed
    • Offer project-related support to the Executive Director and other team members as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • At least 5 years of experience in organizational administration, non-profit work, or a related field
    • Knowledge of financial, accounting, and human resources best practices in a non-profit organization
    Demonstrated experience managing teams, ability to supervise, train, and direct staff
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
    Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and direct multiple simultaneous projects
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines with a positive and professional attitude
    • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with varying levels of direction
    • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel - required; PowerPoint, Publisher - is a plus)
    • Demonstrated experience working with databases, especially donor management and CRM (Salesforce, DonorPerfect, or equivalent)

    The starting salary for this position will be between $60,00-$70,000, negotiable based on experience.
