    SUMMARY: This position provides placement and case management for minors in residential setting

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Provides case management to minors in the residential shelter program.

    Supervises child wellbeing through contacts with minor and other service providers, including shelter staff, and provides appropriate interventions when needed.

    Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized service plans for each minor.

    Demonstrates reunification efforts through exploration of family and other viable options as per regulations of Department of Health and Human Services.

    Assists minors in dealing with effects of separation from family and promotes connections with family and kin.

    Prepares and maintains complete and accurate case files and records as per licensing regulations and requirements of the Department of Health and Human Services

    Completes reports and updates to stakeholders/referral agencies and serving as liaison for community partner agencies.

    Coordinates with school personnel to provide individualized services to minors.

    Provides crisis intervention services and on-call emergency coverage.

    Participates in staff trainings. May facilitate training to new staff, as assigned.

    Assists in developing community partnerships and resources.

    Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.

    Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

    Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.

    Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

    Must be available to work Sunday - Thursday from 9:30am - 6:00pm. Schedule may include some evenings and weekends. Will rotate on-call duties.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    A Master's degree in social work, psychology or counseling from an accredited college or university
    A baccalaureate degree in social work or psychology with documented field work experience; or
    A baccalaureate degree plus three years of professional experience working with children.
    Must be able to reliably transport clients as needed.
    Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
