In collaboration with the Pastor and the Director of the Youth & Young Adult Apostolates, the Program Assistant will assist as needed with on-site programming, administrative support, and digital evangelization. The balance of in-person and remote work will vary based on the current needs of the apostolates.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES, ON-SITE:
-Provides on-site presence at Youth Ministry gatherings on one to two nights a week and potentially weekends, as well as occasional Young Adult gatherings, to offer program support and to engage in relational ministry with young people.
-Photograph ministry gatherings.
-Participate in occasional ministry formation.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES, ADMINISTRATIVE:
-Works collaboratively to manage all communication streams, including registrations, Flocknote (email/texting platform), Facebook, Instagram, parish website, advertisement, bulletin updates, etc.
-Assists the director with ministry-related purchases and reimbursements.
-Assists with administrative management of the apostolate programs as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor's degree or demonstrated experience in related field preferred
-Experience in parish ministry also preferred
-One year managing and creating content on social media preferred
-Time management
-Passion for evangelization
-Ability to work collaboratively and creatively on a team
-Ability to manage and complete multiple projects concurrently
-Adaptability and openness to learning new skills
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Candidates should have a sense of parish ministry and the ability to represent and give witness to the Catholic faith
-At least one year of experience working in a professional business setting
-Ability to lift 50lbs for setup and cleanup of events as needed
