Montessori Primary (ages 3-6) Assistant

Interested in working in a mission-driven and joyful community that educates children with a simpler and more human approach? John XXIII Montessori Center is offering the opportunity to walk alongside children ages 3 to 6 in our Montessori Primary classroom on their journey of self-discovery and learning.

Time requirements:
2022-2023 academic year, beginning in late August and ending in late May
Tuesdays - Fridays, 8:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The Primary Assistant is devoted to living John XXIII's mission with the children. The assistant works directly with the Lead Primary Guide and assists in establishing and maintaining a harmonious atmosphere. S/he collaborates with the Lead Primary Guide to prepare and maintain an orderly, attractive, and joyful environment.

The Primary Assistant plays a crucial role in the success of the classroom. Some duties include setting up the room for the day's work, facilitating children's independent work, assisting with lessons when requested by the Lead Guide, and restoring the environment for the next day.
