Nativity Catholic Church, Religious Education Program seeks a 25hr part-time individual for the position of administrative assistant for our busy Religious Education office.
This position supports the Religious Education Directors mission in daily matters with an emphasis on administrative support performing a variety of office duties including: maintaining, and updating records, creating reports, data entry, assisting parents through the student registration process, assisting volunteers throughout the school year, assists with meetings, retreats.
Associate degree or equivalent experience in a comprehensive office environment with at least 2 years of experience as a secretary or administrative assistant requiring a full range of administrative functions.
Demonstrated experience in computer skills including all Microsoft products and overall tech savvy.
Good oral and written communication skills, including being able to deal effectively with persons in a stressful situation, critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills. After initial instruction, ability to work independently with limited guidance; ability to meet tight deadlines.
Self-starter with strong initiative. Proven ability to multitask and drive closure in a fast-paced environment.
Successful candidate must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-moving team environment. Determines priorities of non-routine situations and will participate and lead miscellaneous projects or initiatives as needed, including providing support to the department staff. Must be highly organized and possess the ability to interact with all levels of management and external groups. The candidate must be professional, reliable, and flexible.
Some college-level course work in business administration, or other field
Experience at a Catholic Institution with the Religious Education Program.
