St. Charles Catholic Pilgrimages is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Pilgrimage Coordinator to join our growing team. Your Role at St. Charles Pilgrimages
As a Pilgrimage Coordinator, you will: - Cultivate and nurture relationships with parish priests, deacons, parish staff, Catholic non-profits, authors, influencers, and other ministry partners to secure successful group pilgrimages. - Strengthen relationships with past clients to encourage repeat pilgrimages. - Lead the entire sales lifecycle - from prospecting and initial outreach to sharing proposals, negotiating details, and closing the deal. - Collaborate with the Pilgrimage Director to develop clear, persuasive, and customized proposals for prospective pilgrimage leaders. - Maintain and grow a shared CRM/database of contacts, ensuring organization and accuracy as your network expands. - Implement thoughtful and creative sales strategies, including email outreach, phone calls, social media engagement, and representation at conferences and Catholic events. - Bring fresh sales insights and new approaches based on personal experience in the field. - Participate actively in weekly team meetings to review progress and set targets. - Consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales goals. - Support additional sales-related initiatives as needed within a collaborative team environment.
What We're Looking For
- A practicing Catholic with a mature spiritual life and a desire to serve the Church. - 2-5 years of professional sales experience, ideally in faith-based group tourism. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication and accountability to the Pilgrimage Director. - Strong understanding of effective sales strategies within the Catholic landscape. - Familiarity with pilgrimage dynamics, group travel logistics, and parish culture. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with priests, deacons, parish staff, seminarians, and other Catholic leaders. - Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to shepherd multiple projects simultaneously. - Professional, confident, and compassionate customer service skills. - Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Bonus Qualifications
- Direct experience in sales within pilgrimage or group travel. - Previous work as a pilgrimage guide or tour director. - Existing relationships with priests, parish staff, or Catholic leaders in your diocese or beyond. - Extensive personal travel experience, especially internationally. - Proficiency with Google Workspace and project-management tools such as Monday.com.
