Freelance Graphic Designer (Print Layout) Decided Excellence Media is a fast growing niche magazine company adding new magazine titles each month all around the country. We are looking for an Independent Contractor for Graphic Design work with a focus on layout/ad design for print with the opportunity for occasional internal document work. We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented graphic designer who is able to meet tight deadlines. Preferred candidates will have high customer service standards and conceptual skills. The majority of the design work is creating magazine layouts from conception to print. This is a work-at-home position as an Independent Contractor. This is not a web design position. The magazines are Catholic-based, and focus on spreading the Word of God through the community. Monthly workload is flexible, based on the amount each IC is looking to fill in their own personal schedule. Key Responsibilities: Magazine Layout (From conception to print) Conceptualize and design advertisements, working with a variety of people Multitask in a fast paced environment Maintain creative and production files of all assigned jobs Review and proof your artwork for quality, content, color and accuracy, as well as make any necessary adjustments General file maintenance of all projects, including some databases Requirements: Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign and comfortable working in the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac-based environment Must have own high-speed internet, with Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Excellent organizational / multitasking skills Print experience (proficient in printer spreads, page layouts, bleeds, and color separation for print) Must be able to work creatively within a template Great communication and customer service skills Ad creation experience (preferred but not necessary) Previous Graphic Design experience and or college degree in Graphic Design Attention to detail is crucial Ability to problem solve If you feel you are qualified and would be a good fit for Decided Excellence Catholic Media, please submit your cover letter, resume and a portfolio of your work.
