Job Description

Provide maintenance services of the structures, systems, equipment and grounds of Church facilities, Rectory and Convent. Perform on a timely manner, work related to the maintenance of campus including but not limited to painting, HVAC, plumbing and grounds projects. Maintain a safe and secure environment. This position will work Monday-Friday. The work demand will vary throughout the year.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while consistently maintaining a positive, professional attitude on the phone and in person. Must be a quick learner that is able to follow directions accurately while multi-tasking and still be able to produce an excellent work. Must be a team player with a "can do" attitude. Must have reliable transportation and be committed to being at work 40 hours a week.

Essential Job Duties:

Maintain, repair, clean and service all equipment, fixtures, buildings and properties.
Maintain keeping the parish grounds clean (picking up debris, maintain floor mats and other cleaning tasks)
Perform custodian duties.
Maintain restrooms - replenish paper towels, bathroom tissue, and soap. Empty trash containers and clean floor and toilets/urinals.
Provide floor care daily to include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, applying floor finish.
Maintain cleaning and sanitary supplies in public areas.
Clean windows and door glass as needed.
Monitor light fixtures for bulb replacement.
Assist on appropriately maintaining campus in a cost effective and safe matter.
Be comfortable climbing ladders and operating common hand and power tools.
Set up, clean up, unlocking and locking up before events.
Maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance.
Other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Four to three (4-3) years of full-time wage earning related work experience is required.
Proficiency in English and Spanish are REQUIRED.
Valid Texas driver's license.
May be required to lift, move or carry objects- up to 80 pounds.
Must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies throughout the employment period.
