Classroom Lead Educator

CLASSROOM LEAD EDUCATOR

Classroom Lead Teacher will provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels. You will have your own classroom of 6-7 students and will be responsible for developing curricula based on input from parents and Program Lead Educator. Must be able to work in team setting with other educators and lead educator/executive director, Board President, and Teacher's Aide assigned to your classroom.

No standardized testing or State/Federal guidelines so teachers are given a great deal of autonomy. Supervisor is Program Lead Educator/Executive Director.

Position is salaried with 8-9 weeks of vacation throughout the year. Year-round school with paid sick leave and vacation. Great opportunity to help our amazing students and not be encumbered by standardized tests or mandated educational requirements. Classes meet Monday - Friday, 9 to 3 year round with First Fridays off.

Educational requirements: Minimum: 4-year Bachelor's in Education, Masters Degree in Education, Special Education specialization is a plus.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in special education classroom setting.

Excellent References. Background Check required if hired. Must complete Safe Children Training.
