We are currently looking for committed Music teacher to complement our collaborative and talented workforce of educators. Candidates will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school's requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their character, emotional, and social skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate and innovative teacher with an ability to reach students and form mutual respect and trust. He/She will know how to organize a class and make learning a fun, rewarding, and meaningful experience. At HRA, we strive to help cultivate our students' interest in learning and serve as our students' dedicated ally in their overall development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and advocate for the teachings of the Catholic Church
Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use instructional technology/visual/audio and a variety of teaching strategies as a means to facilitate learning
Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning and differentiated instruction
Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback
Maintain a neat and orderly classroom
Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings, events, etc. as necessary
Observe and understand students' spiritual, behavioral, social and emotional needs
Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending training, seminars, conferences etc.
Serve as an excellent team member for colleagues
Serve as positive promoter of our school to our stakeholders and the public
Support the vision, direction, and directives of the Church and School Administration
Be an active member of the total school program by occasionally attending and at times be willing to sponsor or coach after school clubs, athletics, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Support and advocate for the teachings of the Catholic Church
Hold a valid TN teaching license or be able to acquire one within a year
Proven experience as a teacher, student teacher, or experience working with children
Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines, partnered with a willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work alone and also in a team-oriented environment
Well-organized and committed
Bring a significant amount of energy to the position coupled with innovation and creativity
Strong moral values and work ethic
Bachelor's degree in teaching or any music related and an ability and willingness to secure a teaching license.
Preferred, but Not Required:
Active Catholic
Master's or another Advanced Degree
