Catholic Charities of East Tennessee's (CCETN) Pregnancy Help Centers offer an extraordinary opportunity to navigate the incredible journey of pregnancy. As the Program Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of this transformative initiative.
Starting Rate: $15.00 an hour
SCHEDULE: 21-hours/week - 3 days
Job Responsibilities:
• Screen and complete intakes for individuals and families determining appropriateness for program services; provide necessary referrals
• Work and communicate with the community partners regarding resources and client's needs
• Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, churches, and community leaders to foster collaborative partnerships and maximize outreach opportunities
• Conduct individual and group sessions
• Ensures continuity of service and care and timely adjustments to service provision
• Recruit and train volunteers for staffing of the pregnancy helpline and other programs
• Update and maintain referral book
• Act as an integral part of the overall program design to incorporate recreational, nurturing, therapeutic, safety, crisis intervention, learning opportunities and individualized planning
• Maintain accurate records and reports of community outreach activities, including feedback and outcomes, for internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain case files/progress notes; prepare other paperwork as required
Job Requirements:
• Must be willing to travel if required
• Must be able to move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check
• Must maintain any training and certification requirements
• Must support the teachings of the Catholic Church and embody our organization's mission and culture through behavior and daily interactions
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required
Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum of 1 years' experience in a management position within a social service agency
• Knowledge and understanding of issues related to pregnancy, prenatal care, childbirth, and parenting
• Familiarity with community resources and services available to pregnant women and families
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients, volunteers, and community partners
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information and provide emotional support
• Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a nonjudgmental approach to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Proficient in using computer software and databases for data management and reporting purposes
