We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communication Specialist to join our team! You'll be responsible for creating engaging content and communications for our parish community, including bulletins, social media, weekly worship aids, and Mass announcements. If you're passionate about Catholicism and have a knack for design and writing, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Design and produce weekly bulletins, worship aids, and other print materials - Manage and post content on all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) - Write and edit Mass announcements, newsletters, and website content - Create engaging graphics and videos for social media and parish events - Collaborate with staff and volunteers to develop communication strategies - Maintain parish website and ensure accuracy of online content
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Canva (or similar design software) - Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices - Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines - Understanding of Catholic Church teachings and traditions (preferred) - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
