The successful candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who will continue the tradition of high academic achievement and provide essential leadership in maintaining a vibrant Catholic environment.
Additional requirements include a Masters or higher degree in Education, School Administration, or a related field; and a minimum of 5 years of teaching with administrative and leadership experience.
The Principal is the leader of our Catholic school community and is the direct representative of the school to the parish and the broader community. With the responsibility and authority to lead the school in its mission of developing well-educated and spiritually healthy disciples and citizens, the Principal supports the primary educational mission of parents through rigorous academics, mentorship of staff, and faithful witness to gospel values.
St. Anthony of Padua School (PreK-3 through 5th Grade) is a ministry of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. With 14 full-time teaching and administrative staff, our school of approximately 150 students is a vibrant example of the mission of Jesus Christ in the Roman Catholic tradition. In addition to our modern school complex, we offer smart boards in all classrooms, a playground area, and a full-size gymnasium. Our average class size is less than 15 students.
The Principal reports directly to the Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and is supported by a volunteer School Advisory Council consisting of parishioners and alumni. This position also works under the guidance of the Secretary of Education and Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Charleston.
1. A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
2. A Master's or higher degree in Education, School Administration, or related field.
