Associate Minister of Charism and Mission

The Felician Sisters of North America is hiring a full-time Associate Minister of Charism and Mission, who will serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team of Our Lady of Hope Province. This position assists the province mission leaders, sisters, and lay staff in identifying, planning, and implementing programs, policies, and practices supporting the integration of Charism and Mission into the culture and operations of convents of the province. The Associate Minister of Charism and Mission offers formation programming for all constituents of the province. This position provides the opportunity to work remotely and requires regular travel to the Provincial House (in Beaver Falls, PA) and larger convents and provincial ministries of the province across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold the Felician Sisters of North America's Core Values of Respect for Human Dignity, Compassion, Transformation, Solidarity with People in Need, and Justice and Peace in all interactions with all sisters, residents, visitors, and employees. Exhibits behaviors that align with adherence to the Core Values.
• Provides Province oversight, resources, and support for orientation and formation of the Felician Charism and Mission to Sisters, Felician Associates, and Staff in the Provincial House and larger convents and provincial ministries of the province.
• Ability to create something new as the province moves to a systemic culture change with charism and mission in the center.
• Works collaboratively with the Province Mission Integration Leader at each convent or site in developing and implementing a new employee mission orientation process.
• Creates, implements, and maintains an annual formation plan for sisters and staff.
• Works collaboratively with the Felician Services Incorporated (FSI) Mission Team.
• Collaborates to assure the viability and sustainability of the Felician Charism, Mission, and Core Values at each of the convents or sites.
  Identifies Charism and Mission education and formation needs; develops resources and supports the implementation process.
• Commit to the Felician Sisters of North America's employee mission statement that promotes the dignity of each resident by caring for the needs of the whole person and by providing a safe, functional, and attractive home environment. Supports each resident in their lifelong pursuit of well-being and engagement in community and mission.

Experience and Education:

• A practicing Roman Catholic.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred in a field related to the position (theology, pastoral ministry, religious studies, ethics, etc.)
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience working with sponsors, ministry leadership, management teams, or religious communities.
• Possesses a valid driver's license.
• Possesses a valid passport.
• Requires travel to the Provincial House (in Beaver Falls, north of Pittsburgh, PA) and larger convents and provincial ministries of the province across North America.
• Served in professional position(s) requiring a broad understanding of Catholic ministry, Catholic Social Teachings, Church structures, and/or sponsorship models.
• Experience in collaborative, inspirational, influential, and engaging servant leadership.
• Illustrates an authentic and mature personal spirituality.
• Proven experience in using adult learning models and good facilitation to engage persons in formative experiences.
• Shows knowledge of, and can demonstrate a personal commitment to the Charism, Mission, and Values of the Felician Sisters, and Catholic Social Teaching.
