    Purpose: Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI) provides bishops, priests, deacons, religious, and lay persons in the Roman Catholic Church with world-class, pastoral leadership formation and consulting services that strengthen their confidence and competence in ministry, enabling them to articulate a vision for their local church, to call forth the gifts of those they lead, and to create more vibrant faith communities rooted in Jesus Christ.

    Summary: The People Development and Learning Manager will provide personnel and training support to the Senior Director of Leadership Consultants to more effectively manage and care for CLI's growing pool of Leadership Consultants. This role will focus on the day-to-day management of a designated subset of Leadership Consultants, to include the administration of initial and ongoing training and professional development of that team. The Manager will also take on client deliveries and partners as needed. Travel required - one to two times per month; average trip length two nights.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in business, education, organizational development, adult learning, theology, or similar degree required

    1-3 years of experience in training administration, design, and delivery

    3 - 5 years of supervisory experience or client management

    3 - 5 years of ministry participation or staff experience in a Catholic parish, diocese, or organization

    Critical Skills and Demonstrated Behaviors:

    A practicing Catholic with a deep love for the Catholic Church and Strong understanding of Catholic culture, structures, parish life, ministries, and role

    Proven track record of successfully delivering soft skills leadership training to adult learners, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats to include role playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, lectures and blended learning or proven experience as a business consultant

    Demonstrated experience with leadership development strategies, methods, and best practices; experience in a church or non-profit setting a plus

    Experience in the professional development of others as well as well-developed management, mentoring and/or coaching skills

    Knowledge of adult learning theories, learning styles, and adult motivation techniques

    Classroom management and group facilitation skills; ability to actively engage learners both in person and virtually

    Strong verbal and written communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills

    Working knowledge with Microsoft products required

    Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a plus

    PEOPLE (40%)

    Address and manage the professional and pastoral day-to-day needs of Leadership Consultants

    Equip Leadership Consultants to deliver services to the highest standard of excellence

    Facilitate relationships between Leadership Consultants and other employees so that work is performed efficiently and effectively

    TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT (40%)

    Assess, make recommendations for, coordinate, and track the initial and ongoing training of Leadership Consultants

    Manage the Leadership Consultant Competency Matrix and Individual Growth Plans

    Collaborate with Learning Experience Designer in creating/updating training

    SERVICE DELIVERY (20%)

    Lead, present, and facilitate CLI's varied services to partners

    Assess and make recommendations for updates to existing content used in service delivery
