Position Summary:
The coordinator works in collaboration with the Sisters of the Redeemer, staff members, partners in mission, and volunteers and is responsible for expanding and administering a robust volunteer program that builds awareness of the Sisters' charism, spirituality, and mission in an effort to foster meaningful relationships, connections, and impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serves as primary recruiter for Redeemer Ministry Corp (RMC), an evolving volunteer program with an opportunity for community living
• Promotes the Sisters of the Redeemer's and their ministries' engagement and volunteer opportunities to prospective partners such as: local parishes, colleges/universities, high schools, and other relevant groups
• Collaborate with Sisters, ministry leaders, and staff to identify volunteer opportunities
• Maintains volunteer applications, information, and hours in volunteer database
• Promotes volunteer recognition, retention, and development
• Schedules and coordinates volunteer orientation
• Coordinates and promotes alternative spring break service trips for college students
• Develops and regularly reviews policies, handbook, application, evaluation materials, etc.,
• Prepares updates for Province Leadership as needed
• Explore additional ways to connect youth and young adults with the charism, Redeemer spirituality, and the Sisters of the Redeemer and their ministries, including:
a. retreat opportunities
b. service projects
c. events
d. outreach to colleges and high schools
e. other, in collaboration with existing Sisters of the Redeemer
programs
QUALIFICATIONS
• bachelor's degree, preferably in human services, volunteer administration, theology, pastoral ministry, or a related field
• prior experience as a long-term or short-term volunteer
• integrates faith in action in daily life
• ability to work some weekends and potentially travel regionally for volunteer recruitment

WORK HOURS:
This is currently a part-time position requiring a maximum 20 hours per week. Given the nature of the position, daily work hours and days worked each week can be flexible and varied.
