    St. Patrick's Catholic Church is located in the heart of Portland, Oregon.     *** What we are seeking

    We are seeking someone who can thrive in an administrative role, and who is kind and finds fulfillment through being in service to others. You have good phone skills and computer skills, and are proficient doing work with modern web-based software. You know what it means to be a good teammate and are mature, organized, and reliable. You must be comfortable working in a prayerful religious setting and demonstrate humility and reverence.

    *** You will work on things like this

    - Answer phones, monitor parish email, and triage requests
    - Meet and greet onsite visitors, process requests, and give property tours
    - Manage master schedule, book pastoral appointments, services, and events
    - Assist bookkeeper, process receipts, code expenses, count offertory gifts
    - Process inbound/outbound mail, invoices, and pay bills
    - Manage inventory processes, place replenishment orders, and restock supplies
    - Manage vendor relations, solicit quotes, and schedule service appointments
    - Manage parish communications including print and email newsletter and bulletins
    - Liaise with the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon and other parishes
    - Manage small administration-related projects
    - Maintain a well-organized and welcoming office environment

    *** Some other things to know

    - 100% of work is performed onsite at our church office in NW Portland
    - You must live in Portland, Oregon or the surrounding area
    - You must be fluent in verbal and written English
    - You must have reliable transportation
    - You must consent to a background check

    *** Here is what you must have

    - At least 2 years experience in a clerical or administrative role
    - Strong computer skills - work across multiple software applications simultaneously
    - Strong phone skills - probing, asking questions, carrying on a smooth conversation
    - Strong multitasking skills - talk and type at the same time
    - Strong basic math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages
    - Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, or Google Docs and Sheets
    - Able to type at least 35 words per minute
    - Great attention to detail

    *** It would be great if you had this

    - Bachelor's degree
    - Some experience working in a parish, pastoral center, or related entity
    - Understanding of Catholic teachings and sacraments
    - Experience with Quickbooks basic bookkeeping functionality
    - Experience with MailChimp email campaigns
    - Experience with Canva or other design software
    - Good Spanish-speaking skills

    *** Work Schedule

    - Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
    - Excludes holidays

    *** Compensation & Benefits

    - $40k - $45k annually DOE
    - Health insurance - medical, dental, and vision
