ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cascia Hall Preparatory School seeks an experienced Associate Director of Advancement for Development to join our team in achieving fundraising objectives by planning, coordinating, and managing fundraising efforts and activities including annual, alumni, tuition assistance, legacy and endowment giving, capital campaigns, and grant proposal preparation. The Associate Director of Advancement for Development also participates in admissions, alumni, school volunteer, and public relations activities.
The Associate Director of Advancement for Development will
• identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with prospective donors by creatively matching their philanthropic interests to the school's mission, vision, and academic priorities;
• compile prospect research and pursue new sources of funding and record appropriate information in the donor management software;
• grow relationships with donors through cultivation, recognition, and appreciation activities;
• develop effective solicitation strategies for major gift donors;
• maintain automated record-keeping, database, and accounting procedures for fundraising and communication with school constituents;
• track and assess fundraising results and prepare reports and analyses for the Headmaster and Cascia Hall Board of Directors;
• work collaboratively with Cascia Hall board members, capital campaign committee members, volunteers, and staff leaders to coordinate and execute fundraising initiatives;
• assist in planning and attend other events hosted by the School Advancement Department; and
• perform miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the general supervision of the Director of School Advancement.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree
• Willingness to enhance the Catholic, Augustinian mission of value-centered education across a diverse population and in a pluralistic society
• Minimum three years direct development/fundraising experience
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven record of professional ethics related to the practice of private gift fundraising
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to navigate and use relational database including gift management systems, prospect tracking, and the creation and management of reports (Blackbaud)
• Ability to make independent judgments and work under pressure
• Ability to create and manage small and large events
• Strong fiscal responsibility
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
