Job Overview
The position has a ministerial character that requires levels of virtue and decency that reflect conformity with Catholic teachings regarding faith and morality. In the same way, the person is required to observe diocesan and parochial norms and practices established to protect the integrity of children, youth, and people in vulnerable situations as well as promote human, spiritual, and moral development in the youth as envisioned by the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church in a creative and dynamic fashion.
Key Tasks:
Uphold and commit to the Teachings of the Catholic Church
Infuse Catholic Social Teachings into the curriculum
Knowlege of curriculum guidelines and subject matter
Plan and prepare for lessons clearly and effectively
Evaluate student progress
Maintain a classroom climate conducive to learning
Supervise students
Manage student behavior
Inform parents of student progress
Record keeping
Continue professional development
Attend faculty meetings and parent meetings
Participate on committees
Assume responsibilities outside the classroom as designated by contract and handbooks.
Maintain student records on FACTS online portal
Ability to present material in a variety of formats to meet the needs of diverse learners
Education and/or Experience:
College degree with valid Oklahoma teacher certification
