Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Stillwater, OK is growing! We are looking to add to our Youth Ministry team, and in the process of restructuring our programs to better meet the needs of our youth and welcome innovative and fresh ideas. Our parish exists for the evangelization of Payne County, OK and we do that through opportunities for every parishioner to Encounter Jesus Christ, Grow with Him, and then Go make disciples. Position Summary:
We are looking for a passionate Catholic, who is a bold and fearless leader, that strives to transform their parish, community, and culture. This person should have a Eucharist centered life, be authentic, joyful, charitable, mission driven, and faithful to the vocational call to holiness.
The individual that is going to be most successful on our youth ministry team is self-motivated, collaborative, experienced, outgoing, and joy-filled. They will be excited to follow the pastor's vision for evangelizing Payne County, maintaining growth to our Life Teen and Edge programs, advancing the mission of the parish, and leading teens closer to Christ! This position reports to our Director of Evangelization and Formation who has multiple years of experience in Life Teen youth ministry and wants to assist you in being successful. Our pastor is a dynamic and enthusiastic leader that believes in team support and the spiritual growth of the disciples entrusted to his care. This is a full-time position.

These are the skills you need to get this youth ministry position:
Educational background in theology and demonstrated presentation skills. Previous experience in youth ministry is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to self-direct toward goals and relationship building, especially in regard to the
Core Team.
Organized, efficient and highly communicative. We utilize many avenues of
communication, including print, digital media, podcasting, and video.
We see that the demographics of the Church are changing and we serve a growing
Hispanic community. We would love someone who is fluent in Spanish and English to
meet this need, and help us build a common community between our communities.
A joyful spirit, creative attitude, and disciplined mentality that can come up with
innovative ideas toward growing the future of evangelization in Payne County.
Ability to manage your workflow without micromanagement or heavy oversight.
Familiarity with the Life Teen movement
Living the universal call to holiness in a counter-cultural and radical way.

Salary and Benefits:
To be paid an annual salary based on professional experience and/or educational background in the range of $40,000-50,000. Health care, life insurance and disability are provided in accord with the Diocese of Tulsa employment benefits. Flexible scheduling is available due to evening and weekend commitments.
Salary increase will be considered annually and will be based upon the increase in the cost of living within the area, the overall quality and the impact that the youth program is having within the parish.
